A leading wealth management team located in San Francisco, The Waitrovich Group advises successful entrepreneurs and their families about multiple aspects of their financial lives. The leader of the team, David Waitrovich, has more than three decades of experience navigating the opportunities and challenges that families of significant wealth can face. Entrepreneurs have an ever changing range of time commitments and responsibilities. David and his team look to make entrepreneurs’ lives easier through a holistic approach to wealth management.

What can you expect?

  1. For many years, we have exclusively served entrepreneurs and their families. We work with founders, owners and senior executives of both public and private companies.

  2. We are oriented toward outcomes that clients want to achieve and work proactively to mitigate the obstacles that can stand in the way. We do not look to forecast markets. Rather, we plan.

  3. We employ an in-depth formal framework that reflects a client’s goals, the fluid nature of the financial markets and risks. Understanding the risks and measuring the probability of reaching a client’s objectives are key components to our approach.

  4. In measuring the probability of outcomes we address key questions. For example: How long will our wealth last? How much can we prudently withdraw from our portfolio annually and maintain the value of our wealth? We call this calculation “The N” – the number that a client needs to maintain in a portfolio in order to maintain purchasing power over the long term.

  5. Purchasing Power is the only rational way to measure wealth. We are disciplined in our wealth management strategy and investment process, which are firmly focused on client goals. In our analysis we account for inflation, taxes and the volatility of markets and investments.

  6. We are clear about our fees and candid about risks. We value transparency and believe that clients do as well.

  7. We take a holistic approach. We recognize that “wealth” encompasses much more than portfolios, balance sheets, and financial and physical assets. We spend significant time with clients and the people they care deeply about, helping them foster behaviors and attitudes toward wealth that generate positive long-term outcomes.
